Explore. Learn. Find.
In today’s world of internet search engines and the global positioning system (GPS), finding what you are looking for is easier … and more complex … than ever.
- According to the Pew Internet & American Life Project, 72% of American adult internet users use the internet on an average day. Of those individuals, 41% use a search engine to find information, 37% get news, and 28% surf the web for fun daily.
- According to About.com, GPS is composed of twenty-four satellites 12,500 miles above the earth that continuously broadcast position and time data. The satellites are spaced in orbit so that at any time a minimum of six satellites will be in view to users anywhere in the world.
